Risk factors of falling
People with epilepsy run the dire risk of sudden death for no apparent reason. The condition is termed ‘sudden unexplained death’ which might occur in those who are without epilepsy, although epilepsy tends to increase this risk approximately two-fold. Researcher is still in the dark as to why sudden unexplained death happens. A research study concluded that anticonvulsant drugs two or more in number can be a potential risk factor. The reason for this is also quite unclear.
